Balance Training: Where to Start

Balance training may sound simple, but if you're serious about keeping fit, the benefits are huge. Challenging your balance engages your core, supercharging your strength, stability, posture, and muscle coordination. By doing so, it helps your body function more efficiently, boosting your performance for maximum results.

Different Types of Balance Training 

Balance training is split into two camps: static and dynamic.

Static Training: Static training tests your ability to balance while static, making it great for building your core strength. Snapping a selfie whilst standing by a pool? With good static balance, there’s no chance of making a splash.

Dynamic Training: Dynamic training is the opposite to static training. Rather than testing your balance while stationary, it tests it when you're moving. Perfect for reducing your risk of trips and falls when walking, running, or working out.

Standing on a balance board for as long as you can without the edges touching the floor is an excellent way to strengthen your core muscles and lower limbs without aggravating an injury further. Looking to combine balance training with a cardio workout? Then our balance pads are the way to go. The pads are made from TPE foam which makes them slightly squishy and unstable to stand on. They’re more comfortable to use than a balance board and put less strain on your joints when you’re doing a workout.
